Le code QR, ou code “Quick Response”, a été inventé dans les années ’90 par la compagnie Denso Wave, un fabricant des pièces automobiles. L’inventeur, Masahiro Hara, cherchait un moyen de lecture rapide pour suivre la progression des véhicules dans leur assemblage.

Les codes QR contiennent des données pour un localisateur, un identifiant ou un traceur. Pour stocker l’information efficacement, l’encodage se fait un utilisant quatre modes : numérique, alphanumérique, binaire et kanji. Cet arrangement apparaît généralement sous forme de carrés noirs sur fond blanc et est interprété par un lecteur, normalement une caméra et conduit vers un site web ou une application.

What is a QR Code?

A QR code, or “Quick Response” code, was invented in the mid ’90s by the company manufacturing automobile components, Denso Wave. The goal of its inventor, Masahiro Hara, was to have a quick and easy way to follow the progression of vehicle during assembly.

QR codes contain data for a locator, identifier or a tracker. To store data efficiently, the encoding will use four modes: numerical, alphanumerical, binary and kanji. This is usually presented as a series of black squares on a white background and is read by a reading tool, normally a camera and will lead to a website or an application.
